About Dr. Ooi Kai Yun
Dr. Ooi Kai Yun is a highly experienced radiation oncologist at Island Hospital, Penang. She obtained her MBBS from the Universiti Malaya, Malaysia, before advancing her medical career as a clinical oncology fellow at The Christie NHS Trust and The Royal Marsden NHS Trust in United Kingdom and she served as a medical officer in the oncology department at Kuala Lumpur Hospital in Malaysia. With a strong passion for research, she has been actively involved in clinical trials on breast, lung, head & neck, esophageal, urothelial, and prostate cancers. Dr. Ooi is skilled in using the latest radiotherapy treatments to enhance patient outcomes, including precision radiation therapy, personalized cancer treatment plans and clinical trial participation.

Dr. Ooi Kai Yun frequently speaks at international conferences, sharing her insights on oncology advancements. Her contributions include European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO), presentation on Gastrointestinal Tumors & Metastatic Colorectal Cancer, Best of ASCO 2022 (Malaysia), discussion on metastatic or unresectable melanoma and International Representative for Malaysia, lead country coordinator for global oncology projects with FAORO & IAEA.​​
